Gene E. Green, MD

President & CEO

South Shore Health

Before joining South Shore Health in November 2015, Dr. Green was president of Suburban Hospital in Bethesda, a member of Johns Hopkins Medicine of Maryland.  Dr. Green also has served as vice president of medical affairs and chief medical officer for Johns Hopkins Community Physicians, a 400-provider, multi-specialty group practice with 37 sites located throughout Maryland and the Washington, D.C. area.

 

Dr. Green earned his medical degree at Eastern Virginia Medical School, where he also completed a residency in family medicine and internal medicine. In addition, he has a master of business administration degree from The Johns Hopkins University.  He is a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Family Medicine, Tufts University School of Medicine.
