Hospice of the South Shore

Janet began her career as a junior volunteer and nursing assistant at South Shore Hospital while she earned her degree in nursing. She helped to start a hospice program in Norwich, Connecticut when the concept of hospice was just being developed in the United States.

After moving back to the South Shore, Janet worked for the former Hospice of the South Shore before the organization merged with South Shore Hospital. In 2013 she began working with the newly formed palliative care program at South Shore Visiting Nurses Association while continuing her role as night nurse at Hospice of the South Shore.

Janet is devoted to educating others about palliative and hospice care both at the state and local level through her association with the Hospice and Palliative Care Federation of Massachusetts.
