Meet the Experts

Neil D. Ghushe, MD, FACS

Medical Director

South Shore Hospital Center for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery

I have passion in bariatric and weight-loss surgery and my goal in joining the South Shore Hospital team in 2012 was to bring that expertise and opportunity to the South Shore community. Over the past few years we have created a collaborative team of providers along with Brigham and Women’s hospital, of which I am also a member, to create the South Shore Hospital Center for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery. I am also actively engaged as a trauma surgeon and have a busy general surgery practice taking care of a variety of disease processes including gallbladder disease, hernia, GERD, hiatal hernias and surgical management of other gastrointestinal disorders.
When I’m not working, I enjoy the simple things in life such as relaxing by a campfire or a day at the beach with my family.
